Glasblazerij Jaap de Graaf B.V. has in-depth knowledge and expanded production possibilities for compounding glass and other materials. A lot of materials and components can be connected with each other. In order to do this, we use the following connections technologies:

• Precision gluing;
• Melting;
• Soldering.

The most common connections are:

• Glass types and (noble) metals;
• Different glass types.

It is important to optimize the materials which can be connected, while considering the expansion coefficient viscosity and the connection temperatures. Materials which are often used are:

• Glass;
• Platina;
• Tungsten;
• Molybdenum;
• Dumet thread.

A helium leakage test is used to see whether the products have leaks for (ultra)high vacuum applications.

After production, the products can be used immediately because of a thorough cleaning and accurate packaging. Cleaning and packaging possibilities will be determined in consultation with the customer.
